The Northern Rivers area in NSW has so much to offer for locals and visitors alike.

It is a region that is home to the Clarence River, lush Hinterland, quaint towns and long stretch of picturesque coastline.

Whether you’re a surfer, foodie, hiker or picnic-maker, there is something for everyone, so if you haven’t explored Yamba yet, we encourage you to discover this fabulous area for yourself and see why it has been named “Best Tourist Town in Australia” by Australian Traveller Magazine.

There is a plethora activity to enjoy along the Clarence River including sailing, boating, dolphin watching and kayaking.

For nature lovers you may wish to bushwalk, picnic, camp or hike in any one of the National Parks of the region including Nightcap National Parl, Iluka Nature Reserve or Yuraygir National Park.

When visiting Yamba you can’t go past the beaches and ocean either. The surf at Angourie Beach is well known, as is the picturesque Yamba Beach. For calmer moments and incredible colours, be sure to visit the Blue and Green rockpools and the famous ocean pool at Yamba. Nothing is more Aussie than starting your day with a sunrise dip.

After starting your morning with a sunrise dip in one of these fantastic bodies of water, or perhaps Yoga on the Headland, you can grab a coffee and peruse along the buzzing streets of the Yamba town. There are so many places to choose from for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink, and we hope you’ll pop into our office at 5 River St to say hello too!

Don’t forget too to mark your calendars for the Yamba River Markets which take place on the fourth Sunday of the month… truly a place to excite and tantalise all of your senses and soak up the Yamba atmosphere.

Beyond the natural beauties of Yamba, there are a number of recreational facilities that are definitely worth a visit when you’re in town. Yamba is home to 2 pubs and 2 clubs. Depending on what “floats your boat”, you may wish to play a round at the Yamba Golf & Country Club or perhaps partake in Lawn Bowls at the Bowlo Sports and Leisure Centre. Apart from Lawn Bowls, this wonderful community centre is also host to tenpin bowling, Bingo and overall just a good meeting place for friends and family.
